How do I add a slideshow to the Announcements & Upcoming Events page?
SchoolFusion has enabled the slideshow or flash feature within the Announcements page. This update has not changed the functionality of the page, but allows website administrators to quickly and easily add the slideshow feature to the Announcements & Upcoming Events Page.
  1. Log into the SchoolFusion site
  2. Create a slideshow you want to appear on the announcements page (see this FAQ for detailed slideshow creation instructions http://www.schoolfusion.info/faq.php?faq_id=146)
    1. Click website administration
    2. Under Content Management, click Slideshows
    3. Create a new slideshow
    4. Title the slideshow and upload pictures/captions
    5. Click Upload

The Slideshow is now uploaded to your site.  Next you will add this slideshow to the announcements page.

Go to your “Announcements & Upcoming Events” page.

  1. Click “Administer Announcements” on the announcements page.
  2. Click “Add Announcement “
  3. Ensure you are using the advanced editor 
  4. Click the blue “F”   or Flash button
  5. Click on the MySlideshows tab
  6. In the “MySlideshows” dropdown, select the slideshow you want to display on the homepage
  7. Click ok
    1.  NOTE: If the slideshow is too wide to fit in the page next to upcoming events, please resize the image to be 350 pixels wide
  8. A small orange Flash icon  will display in the announcement window
  9. Finish adding content to your announcement,
  10. Select Add Announcement to view the slideshow on the homepage.
  11. Go to the announcements page and ensure the video is displaying as expected.
