SchoolFusion has multiple layers of protection. It starts with built in redundancy at our data center, with multiple copies of your data on-site. In addition, there are nightly backups of the data transferred off-site, and stored to permanent media. Therefore you are covered for equipment failure.
As for accidental user errors, our main defense is that the user is prompted to confirm any type of data deletion on the site. If data still gets accidentally deleted, there is not an easy method of automatically restoring it. If it is something critical to your school, we can use our backups to manually restore the data (usually at a fee). We are in the very early stages of planning a feature to record all changes on the site, which would include a method of restoring data.
